The Museum is housed in a 17th-century building with certain access limitations. There is lift access for disabled visitors to the Basement Galleries, including the Special Exhibition Gallery. The lift can be accessed in the Sheldonian Yard through the gate to the left of the Museum. The Entrance Gallery and Top Gallery are only accessible via stairs. Buggies and prams may be stored in the Entrance Gallery, but are not permitted in the lift.

Unfortunately, there are currently no public toilets available in the Museum.

There are no car parking facilities connected to the Museum, although pay and display parking is available Broad Street and other streets and car parks in the city. There are also five Park and Ride car parks situated on the outskirts of Oxford.
