A.R.Penck: I think in pictures

Friday, June 28, 2019 - 10:00 to Sunday, November 3, 2019 - 17:00

A.R. Penck (1939–2017) is an internationally acclaimed German artist recognised for his work in painting, drawing, print and sculpture. Abiding interests in system theory and cybernetics, as well as pre-historic cultures and science fiction, guided his art toward an investigation of the relationships between man and society. Explore these themes in the first show of Penck’s work in Oxford and his first solo museum display in the UK in over 25 years.
